Critical masterpiece

For Pike & Rose, this is one of the surprisingly better places, even if it's situated as an adjunct to the movie theater. All the food we tried was pretty good, and the service was friendly and attentive. Decor is nice, fairly polished. We started with some buffalo wings and they were a bit off, too gamey. I'd pass on those. The seafood Cobb salad was great, generous amounts of crab, lobster along with the staples of bacon and egg in a Cobb. The lobster mac and cheese was very good, too. It's hard to go wrong when adding lobster to mac and cheese. The cocktails were fairly creative and well made, pretty balanced and tasty. Pleasantly surprised. Worth a try for sure.

The venue itself is really nice but the execution of the food doesn’t match and neither does the service. I made a reservation and came to the host stand and was greeted like normal. The employee said he will come right back for us and told his colleague “I got them”. Great, you’d think nothing of it. But he continued to walk around and do nothing related to assigning us a section. So logically I look over at the other worker and asked if she would be able to sit my party and she concurs but proceeds to just stand there. So I ask again and we’re finally seated. I looked at the time and happy hour is pretty much gone at this point and I’m given the side eye for ordering from it when it took 20 minutes for me to be seated when that time could have be used to order. Unfortunately the food wasn’t good either. I unfortunately had a cold steak and waited a long time for it. The cocktails are the silver lining but only was able to get one with the shenanigans that happened before. Wouldn’t waste my gas to come here and you couldn’t change my mind.

The food is good at the restaurant but the service wasn't good. They also have a limited menu, so something to be aware of. We were seated but weren't provided plates and fork until we asked for it after the appetizer was served. The server wasn't there around us, so we had to ask other servers for our requests. We were seated at the patio, and it was a wonderful view from the rooftop, so we enjoyed the ambiance. The mussels and salmon entre were awesome. It is good to make reservations. We didn't but were given a 30 minutes timeframe but were called in within 10 min. We will visit again and hope next time the service will be good as well.

The food was amazing and the restaurant atmosphere was very beautiful. Our server was good but the bar staff was overwhelmed. None the less they were able to take care of our party. I recommend the restaurant as a great date night.

I expected a lot more from this place. Right away, we noticed that both the glasses and the seats were dirty. The service was incredibly lackluster. Our waitress had an extremely dry personality and was inattentive; however, other waiters seemed to be more kind/engaging with their customers. I got the omelette, it came with potatoes that were incredible, but the omelette itself was super salty. The chicken apple sausage it came with was flavored well, but was dry. My dad got the chicken and waffles. The chicken “tenders” were so tough and the waffle was flavorless. My dad stopped eating it and told the waitress that he he did not enjoy it at all and she said “okay”. She did absolutely nothing to try to make it better. Overall, the food was below average and the service was poor. However, the ambiance was absolutely lovely, but it was extremely empty for a Sunday afternoon which was peculiar to me. I should have listened to the reviews a bit more before coming here. Unfortunately, I won’t be back!
